Colbert talks about his Facebook Group

Last night on the first Colbert Report since the Facebook group 1,000,000 Strong for Stephen T Colbert reached its goal, Colbert mentioned the group himself. These quotes from NoFactZone:
But folks, it’s been paying off. I have become very popular on “The MyFace."

Apparently, the group, “1,000,000 Strong for Stephen T. Colbert” has attacted 1.2 million people! And, and, one assumes, a fair amount of sexual predators.

It took only eight days for my group to triple the 400,000 members in Obama’s group, “1,000,000 Strong for Barack Obama”, and only eight seconds to triple the number of members in Gravel’s group, “One Refrigerator Box for Mike Gravel”.

In other news, the Arizona State University paper may have picked up on a new trend: Mormons for Colbert.
Spencer DuShane, an English literature senior, said a candidate's religion does not influence his vote.

"I would never vote for someone just on the basis of religion," he said. "If I vote for Romney, it's because I think he'll do a good job."

Although DuShane shares Romney's religion, he doesn't think he will vote for the former governor.

"Right now I'm actually leaning toward (Barack) Obama or Stephen Colbert if he runs," he said.
